FATS: what you should do and not do

Fats are naturally occurring soft greasy solid that are esters of glycerol and certain fatty acids. they are present in some plants and in the adipose tissue of animals, forming a reserve energy source. fats are important for storing energy though, and insulating the body, among other functions. but after a certain point, body fat can begin to interfere with your health. Highly saturated fats of animal origin such as pork fat or butter, meat and also vegetable fats such as margarine especially those made with palm oil should be replace by liquid oil. for your health, endeavor to consume oil, which are saturated as possible since they rapidly metabolized and include glycerides of unsaturated fatty acids (i.e. linoleic and linolenic acids). for they are high in energy food of which deficiency may result in eczema. However, the very nature of saturated fats means they are difficult to metabolize and therefore, tend to accumulate and easily result in obesity. thus, if you are to consume animal fats, do not take it on its own but accompanied it by a supplement of seed oil or cereal germ. If you do not take this advice, you are slowly but surely leaving yourself open to biliary and hepatic disease as well as malignant and benign tumors. Moreover, unsaturated fatty acids, act as a barrier against cancer. fats included in healthy diets should be limited to those fats that have been purified using physical processes. Apart from olive oil, the other vegetable oils that can be used are seed oil and wheat germ oil that is produced using cold processes. the most vegetable oils offered by plants are obtained from cereal grains as their content in biological compounds are almost ten times greater than seed oils. they have a high content of all active fat- soluble substances, mainly Vitamin E and vitamin F which are critical for fat metabolism. seed oils, combined with olive oil, and used moderately do not result in obesity, and are the healthiest fat of all.
